About Us


The tasks and responsibilities are wide and varied with different degrees of complexity making this unit a hot spot for personal development, an in depth understanding of how the business operate and seeing the full cycle of work first-hand.

The role sits in a unit designed to increase income through supplier commercials and support internal business queries (i.e. it is not a customer facing role) and is ultimately responsible for managing all IATA policies and requirements for all Clyde’s international entities.  

Supplier Relations:

  • Play a part in the ongoing relationship with major travel suppliers
  • Assist in commercial negotiation with travel suppliers where applicable to maximise incentive incomes.
  • Responsible for communicating all key supplier updates throughout the business as well as maintaining a supplier knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with new and existing suppliers based on travel patterns to gain additional content and discounted rates.
  • Manage the auditing and loading of all supplier content in every Clyde location.
  • Evaluate, verify, and onboard new suppliers according to the business needs.
  • Directly submit and manage any technical supplier failure / disruption or notifications

IATA Relationship:

  • Complying to all requirements within the IATA Handbook and managing all policy changes.
  • Reconciliation of all IATA transaction (Hot File, ARC, HMPR reports and ACM/ADMs)
  • Managing ticketing rights for requirement IATA member airlines he administration of ADMs and ACMs
  • Processing all manner of refunds that cannot be processed in the front office ensuring optimal profitability

Investigation management:

  • Investigate and respond to relevant queries from consultants / supervisors concerning supplier failures/complaints
  • Investigate and respond to relevant queries from consultants / supervisors concerning travel transactions
  • Take responsibility and respond to relevant financial queries from the internal Finance Department
  • Monitor trends in managing system errors and communicate these coherently and solutions to all affected stakeholders.
  • Continuously make recommendation for process improvement in order to eradicate inefficient procedures and improve training provision across the business

Candidate Requirements


  • SVQ / National Diploma/Certificate in a business discipline preferred
  • Experience within a travel industry role.
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers, managing and negotiating content and acting as an ambassador on behalf of a business.
  • Good communication skills will aid the job holder to explain situations to their peers, line manager and colleagues with confidence and coherently
  • Strong data analysis skills (within a travel environment preferred)


  • Experience of dealing with BSP / ARC will greatly benefit the job holder
  • An understanding of AP, AR and General Ledgers as well as a basic grasp of reservation platforms will enhance the job holder’s ability to analyse his/her work better and to identify the cause and effect of the errors they manage

The Supplier Relations Consultant role exists to build strong mutual relationships with our travel suppliers to ensure that we have access to market leading supplier content, commercial opportunities and a support mechanism which the business can rely on. 

It would also be the job holder’s responsibility to communicate in a clear and concise manner any key supplier updates as well as maintaining our supplier knowledge bases so that the business is suitably informed. 

Managing all aspects of IATA ensuring we are complying to all requirements within the IATA Travel Handbook to sustain our accreditation in all locations permitting the issuance of AIR tickets.
