The UK Government this morning has updated their entry regulations with an exception for seafarers when arriving into England from a red list country.

Effective from 4am Friday 19th March, seafarers arriving from a red list country no longer need to pre book and stay in a government hotel facility.

Any arriving seafarers who live in the UK are not required to self isolate at home however if the traveller lives overseas, they still require to self isolate for 10 days in their own accommodation while in England except when they are working or travelling as part of their work.

As it stands (19/03/21 – 10:45) there are no changes to the restrictions when arriving into Scotland from an acute listed country which requires seafarers to pre book a hotel quarantine package prior to arrival.
